Poly Medallion honor goes to Cannon Associates

Cal Poly gave its highest alumni honor, a Medallion Award, to Michael Cannon, president of San Luis Obispo-based Cannon Associates.
Cannon has owned the firm since 1987, and grown it from four employees to more than 70. Cannon has been retained for Unocal Corp.'s cleanups in Avila Beach and at the Guadalupe Dunes and for Cal Poly's sports complex.
Michael Cannon sits on the Industrial Advisory Board for Cal Poly's Civil Engineering Department and is a regular guest lecturer at the university.
